This is the cheapest I think I've ever seen them new:

I know people have gotten B stock capsules for less, but those opportunities are rare.
Mics: Neumann KM100 (x4), AK40 (x2), AK50 (x2)
Pre: Lunatec V3
Recorders: Tascam DR-680, Tascam HD-P2 (x2), Sony PCM-M10

Neumann changed their trade discount prices at the beginning of the year and the dealers now get much less.

So the on-line price is unlikely to be more than 10% off wherever you look.

I don't know Neumann gear that much, but I often see clearance/Bstock at Fullcompass.com.  Other mics too at great savings...

Please DO NOT mail me with tech questions.  I will try to answer in the forums when I get a chance.  Thanks.

Full Compass without question.   If you don't like the online price then call them and negotiate a price.  It's the same vendor that your AK20 came from.   ;D

They don't carry the AK50 caps, according to their website.  They have the KM150s, but apparently not just the caps.

Call them.   Remember that very few retailers would have those caps in stock or many of the other microphone components from Neumann and other manufacturers.  So you order and they drop ship usually.

The good thing about Full Compass is that 1. They are a big dealer so if someone can get it quick, they can.  2. They'll meet or beat damn near anyone's prices.   3. They are very reputable.

A few years ago there was a run on folks wanting the ck62's and several online places had them a great deals.  None had them in stock.   Took many weeks for a couple of folks to get them.

Give Northern Sound & Light a try also. They were very competitive with their pricing when I dealt with them.

AK50s are currently going for $822 there...

I got a quote over the phone from fullcompass about three months ago for $862 per cap.  I asked about B stock but they had no luck finding any.

Their 33% restocking fee scares me!
