Tascam CD-RW5000
« on: December 17, 2004, 08:28:39 PM »
I dump my recordings to CD on a Phillips CD recorder, and it does an okay job.

However, a local guy is selling a used Tascam CD-RW5000. I gather this is, or was, more of a pro piece of gear. Would this do a better job than my Phillips?

Well, call me a Luddite, but I have a sound card on my computer, and editing software, and I just find it takes four or five times as long to process a show that way. I get good sound, play it into the CD-R in real time, incrementing the tracks, and then I'm done.

It may be primitive, but it gives me what I want in the least possible time.
