mine will be the first...If you like his work, I would contact him via PMs and ask him about mods to any pre-amp...some may need to go through Cascade Media however...I'm not sure of his commitments...

That's pretty cool. I wonder how it will compare sonically/financially to the oade ACM 660... *paging dcaley -- this might be something for you to consider after your stock 660 buffalo hip experience*

If you pull the trigger on the 660 do yourself a favor and invest in a Lexar Card.

B&H Photo/Lexar MIR purchases made between 3/18/07-04/30/07...8GB Lexar CF 133x $159.95 - $70 MIR = $89.95
          4GB Lexar CF 133x $89.95 - $30 MIR = $59.95

afaik "bobbygeewow" and "jammin72" are the only two tapers on the board who own one.  check out the recent ratdog show that bgw posted.

Just saw this thread. Very happy with this box; endless runtime on one charge, been using SanDisk 4GB cards with one failure.
here's a good example of what a wcm can do:

I've recently taped a couple shows with the 20db pad, record level on 10 and still peaking at -6/-4db and it sounds sooooo good.

I just bought a Basic Concert Mod 660 for my DPA 4021's.  Just reading the manual and getting a feel for it now.  I'll probably take it out for a low pressure local gig next week.

The unit it a bit bigger than I expected.  I'm wondering about the best way to get this unit into a stealth-only venue.  PM I guess would be best on this issue.
