Just saw this announcement today and the unit looks pretty good.

They have single, dual, and quad input models, and affordable, all under $200.
Reminds me of the size and form factor a bit of the F3, minus the recording ability and 32 bit as well as the screen replaced with knobs.
Could be fun to mess around with one.

Until now, the clear competitor to Focusrite Scarlett has been the MOTU M series. The one very useful thing they all have in common though is a loopback mix function. I use this all the time on my M2, and it is quite rare on interfaces. I would say that specs-wise, the AMS does not appear to be quite in the same league as Focusrite and MOTU.
One other thing I noticed looking at the specs is that the AMS-22 has a different preamp compared to the others in the series, and notably has a low max mic input level. That's probably fine, as it's intended for podcasting.
