Noise caused by burner? Static? ISO help
« on: December 22, 2003, 03:24:42 PM »
Well I just got finished doing some DAT > FLAC transfers. I first burn the WAV files for an audio disc before I converted to FLAC. I notice this periodic static type noise on some of my master WAV discs. How do I figure out where that noise is coming from? I'm thinking it has to be my burner or Nero. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Chad

is DMA enabled on your hard-drives and burner?
to check, goto device mgr>IDE controllers> primary & secondary channels.
under advanced settings, transfer mode should be set to "DMA mode if available".

this would be the first things to check

the water's clean and innocent

I changed it to DMA available in the secondary one. hopefully that will do the trick.

Thanks,
Chad
