Current DVD-R recommendations?
« on: March 12, 2017, 10:18:48 AM »
I am finally on my last batch of the old TY made in Japan DVD-R discs and it seems from reports on the web that CMC "made with TY technology" discs are not at the old quality level.  I'm wondering what people here are using for archival purposes?  I have done some poking around on the web, but not found much in the way of current recommendations.

I'm on my last batch of "real" Taiyo Yuden DVD-R's as well, but a couple years ago I bought a Blu-Ray drive and it's been BD-R discs all the way for me since then.  I've had great success with Verbatim 25 GB BD-R media.  If you decide to go BD-R, just be certain you're buying HTL manufactured media, not the inferior LTH.
I am hitting my head against the walls, but the walls are giving way.
