DIY project: "gorilla" AT822

Previously, I took an AT822 mic, removed the body, and powered with a 9V battery box.

Recently I saw a flexible "gorilla-pod" for mounting cameras.  So, I epoxied the AT822 head onto the pad where the camera would go.  This mount is great.  You can sit it on a table, or bend the legs like a hand and clamp onto pipes and whatnot.

Here is a photo (XLR at left go to preamp/ADC, black box has 9V battery, 1/8" mini input, miniXLR output):
