Title: are these ics right?(help me get rid of addaptors)
Post by: admkrk on January 13, 2005, 09:52:59 PM
trying to figure this out in my head only gave me headache after headache. so i decided to breakout the pen and paper. now it looks too simple.

options:

  rode nt5>pp>mx-100>ua5>d8
nak cm300(pp option in the future)>mx-100>ua5>d8
or several combomatios of the above

cables:

  mic>pp(or ua5)=xlr>xlr(balanced)
  pp>mx-100=xlr>1/4(unbalanced)
mx-100>ua5=rca>trs(or would it be better to go w/ts? or just rca>rca?)
  mx-100>d8=rca(x2)>stereo mini

what would be the "better" cable type to use for the ts / rca / mini runs?

to go further astray, i saw were a buch of people had problems w/ pro dig 7-pins. while i'm here, does anyone know the pin-out for them? the solder joints "look" good, but maybe the problem's in the head? no troubles w/ my one-way cable(sony?).

thanks for any help in advance.

peace,                           kirk
