I use a Sound Devices MP-2 pre. I was wondering if someone can explain what the threshold adjustment screws do. Can you also explain what the limiter does and how I should adjust the threshold for different types of music. Also how much should the limiter light come on during rock and roll, acoustic music ... ect. I know how to get the job done with this pre, but I want to make sure I'm using it correctly.
Thanks In Advance

I ran an MP-2 and never had to touch the screws. My advice is to forget they are even there. Go by the level meters on your DAT deck and you will be straight.

I have an MP-2 now, and agree with Jamie....never touched the screws, and dont really need too
