Just stubled upon this. Seems like Elton John is into something new.
You get some kind of receiver and headphones and listen to the sound from the mixing desk. With an app on your phone you can do some EQ.
Are we beaten?

Umphry McGee has done for a while now and Yes did it in the mid 90s recorder into headphone out...

any phone based solution has latency and isnt a real time transmission like the receivers that um and band members use

I find the latency of typical video systems at big shows to be obnoxious enough that I can't watch the screens ... it creeps me out when the singing mouth is out of sync with the vocals.

Need somebody that can record the datastream out of peex and extract the multitrack/stems. Anybody know a programming nerd up for the challenge?
