Recovering files from a cf card
« on: March 09, 2008, 08:18:56 PM »
I cross posted this to team PMD 660, too

My batteries died just before the end of the second set, and I replaced them quickly and got the last song.

When i went to do some post work, set one was there and the last song is, too.

Any thoughts on IF I can recover the second set, or is there nothing there because the data not get written when the PMD 660 abruptly powered down?

Thanks for your thoughts

The last song may have overwritten the start of the second set.  It is also possible it did not overwrite the second set.

If so, it should still be possible to recover the rest of the second set.

Do not write to the card.  For a start I'd try recovery with photorec or one of the other tools mentioned in the threads here.
