Title: Anyone use or have heard AKG451?

Just wondering if anyone uses these mics because im wondering how they compare to the 480's.

I looked into them a bit and there isnt to much info on them out there(with tapers that is). I did manage to find a show and it sounds pretty nice. The 451 are the 1st mics in the 480 line. Its 451>460>480. The ones that are being sold new now are reiussue

I would not recommend the new AKG C451s, they are very dull sounding mics with poor off-axis patterns.  Here's a comp tape for you to hear:

thanks for the help.  What about the 460's in comparison to the 480's any advice there?
