Looking for a portable cable organizer for 50ft RCAs
« on: November 19, 2010, 05:48:37 PM »
I bought some 50ft RCAs recently which have been excellent for getting SBD feeds when my mics are somewhere else... Only thing I don't like is how unwieldy this much cable can be.  Can anyone recommend a good portable organizer that I could carry them in that would allow me to them in even when in use, and just wind out as much as I need?

I work for an internet/telephone/tv company (local company not one of the bigguns). We have a bunch of wire reels laying around. Just a cheap junk plastic reel but something like that could probably work. Any of the guys on the forum here that purchase cable in large qty would probably have a couple empties laying around that may do the trick. I just ran through the garage here and did not see any completely empty but they pop up every now and then. I could snag one next time there is an empty and mail it to ya if nothing else.
I will try and get a picture. Otherwise, I just walked by our break room and noticed a decent sized cookie tin that you may be able to squeeze a 50' cable in depending on the diameter of the cable.

/edit for pics..

why don't you use the "report to moderator" link to do something about him?

best to make no response, just report to the mods and let them do their job

< which in this case was extremely fast - thanks >

You are correct that it wasn't you. It was someone who had just registered then made at least 15 spam posts in less than ten minutes. The mods acted as quickly as I've ever seen.
