Title: Question about the purchase of the SONY MDR-7506

Q1:Is there any other better choices?

Q2: considering the price and warranty of the genuine， where should i buy them？ebay or B&H？

Post by: jlykos on May 02, 2011, 01:01:08 PM: Audio-Technica ATH-M50. Around the same price as the 7506 and sounds a lot better. I used to have both and am happy that I have the M50.

If you are recording loud sources, you may want to switch to in-ear monitors, as they will block out more of the sound. If you want to stay in the $100 - $150 price range of the M50 and 7506, take a look at the Westone UM1 in-ear monitors. Really fantastic earphones.

If you want to monitor live, I would also recommend in ear OR the sennheiser HD 25-1 II.

They look silly and you wouldn't think they provide a lot of isolation but they really do. The isolation on IEM would be higher (at least on more higher end models) but you may find it annoying to take it out of your ear and back in each time.

Post by: Erick del Valle on May 03, 2011, 03:18:22 AM: Well, I love the sony 7506, are lightweight and robust I use them for 10 years and have never had any problem with them (I have 4) in the ebay photo I see no difference with which I bought in USA, I bought a pair of those Chinese to see if there is any difference.

No need to go to Ebay at these prices.

I think you're right. The 7506 was at or very close to $100 for awhile and now its $15 less. It seems the m50s are now at $160 at b&h which seems more than I paid.
