I've, as well as a lare amount of audio press, have been pretty intrigued by the Shanling A3000. From a brief description on the web: "Topping the scales at 66lbs the 200+ w/ch monster Shanling A3000 Integrated Amp is dramatically underpriced at $1695! The Shanling A3000 features a 80,000µF total filtering capacitance, Independent power transformers for left & right channels, Dual EH6922 tube input buffer stage and 8×SANKEN 2SA1295 and 2SC3264 power transistors. The A3000's Volume control is performed by motorized ALPS potentiometer. The Shanling A3000 also has 4× RCA, 2× balanced XLR input, 1× power amplifier input, 1× pre-amplifier line output and 1× headphone monitor output.

Shanling A3000 Integrated Amp Specifications:
Rated power output: 2×200W RMS / 8 O
2×320W RMS / 4O
Frequency response: 20 Hz-30 KHz (-1dB)
Input sensitivity: 470mV/ 47KO
Total harmonic distortion: =0.8%
Dimensions (W×D×H): 482×520×206mm
Net weight: 30Kg "

Oh yea... it goes for just under $1700!

"Dual EH6922 tube input buffer stage" The Tubes are in the input stage (where I would argue that it is for more than marketing). the 8×SANKEN 2SA1295 and 2SC3264 are solid state transistors for the output. Heck, I'd love to see a $1700.00 amp that can pull 200w @ 8O with a tubed output stage. Normally to see this kind of juice on a tube amp you would be looking at $20,000.00+ mono blocks.  ;D Shanling is a solid company and has won some pretty serious critical acclaim for their tubed SACD players.
