Title: recorder as USB mic
Post by: rastasean on November 17, 2016, 04:58:29 PM
Hi All,

When I connect my recorders to my computer, it mounts the USB drive so I can transfer files to/from the card to the computer. So what I'm hoping to find is a recorder that I can use as a usb mic while connected to my computer. apparently the zoom h1 can do this but I'd like to know other options.
If there's not a reasonably priced recorder to do this, what's your favorite USB headset you've used?

zoom h1:

thanks,

My first SD recorder was the Zoom H2, and it totally can do this. I like the mics on it just great for a handheld.

If you have external mics, I'd go with a Focusrite 2i2  usb interface on sale now for $99 at the usual places.
