Refresh my memory, Justin - what mics are you using?
I've used both the AT 8410A and 8415. I think they're both great. They have the same attenuation specs, with the 8415s having a smaller form factor and accepting a broader range of mic diameters.
I haven't used my new-to-me A20S long enough to make a call, and they only accept very small range of mic diamter.
There's been a fair amount of grumbling here and on the Oade board about the Sabrasom shockmounts.
FWIW, I've played with the Sabrasom and Tensimount shockmounts. I didn't find either to be especially robust (like the ATs), and I found them to be a bit of a pain in the ass to use. But, I'm sure after doing it a few times I would've figured it out and/or gotten used to it.
Relatively speaking, I don't think any of the shockmounts we tapers commonly use are terribly expensive - most $40-$60/ea, well worth the minimal investment compared to what we spend on the rest of our gear.
