I currency using SP-CMC-2-XLR

I WANT TO UPGRADE my current mics with something new for better sound in similar price range.
founds:
- Oktava MK012-01 max - spl 130 is to weak i think.
- Sennheiser E614
- SE Electronics SE8
- SP-CMC-4U-PHANTOM (U853)

It's certainly possible for concert sound levels to reach 130dB or higher but it would be extremely painful to be in the room.
Any mic that can handle 125 dB or higher would be suitable for just about any concert recording from the audience if you have the capability to move farther from the source if you get to the limit.

The Sennheiser have a claimed max SPL of 139dB. That's about like standing next to a jet plane taking off.
The Oktavas have a max of 130. I have them and have used them for close miking a jazz drummer. Easily as loud as a metal show when used that close. No problems.
It's more likely that you will have to worry about your preamp or the input stage of your recorder when recording at high SPL.

For "normal loud" rock shows, I think E614 can sound great IMO.

I've used the e614s a bit. I think they're a good value. Here are some examples:

Note those last three combine the e614s with other mics, so you're not hearing ONLY the e614s. I'd also note that I think the sound in the room for the Garaj Mahal and Mike Dillon Band shows were not very good, so take those with a grain of salt (having seen a few shows in that room now I think it's just a pretty bad sounding room). You can at least hear that the mics can handle the SPL of a loud show, though.

Thanks :) it sounds dynamic and clear :) nice, but maybe someone had cmc-2 and changed to one of those mics.. is there noticeable difference, is it worth for changing. Can't have both :)

Forgive me but I'm not clear about what you're asking here.

They will sound different, if for no other reason than your current mics are cardioids and the e614s are supercardioids. Whether one is better than the other in terms of sound is subjective.
If you want my two cents, I'd say hold off and keep listening to recordings until you hear mics that you are convinced sound better than what you have (for the types of shows and venues you go to, of course), and then buy those or save up until you can. And if you don't find any that sound better then just keep rocking what you have now.

Would love to find out which Oade Mod mpmgumby was running in those links as I have UA5s with W+ and ACM+.

I think that his Marantz PMD660 had the Oade "Song Catcher" mod.

Whould be great to return to topic. Is Sennheiser E614 is good upgrade from SP-CMC-2 for heavy music?

As your other thread states, something about the configuration of your SP-CMC-2 mics/recorder isn't right.
Try and narrow down the issue you're experiencing.
IMO the CMC-2's work well for rock, though I prefer the AT853's. I've stated my impressions of both elsewhere on this site.
I retired my CMC-2s a few years ago, but still run AT831 cardioids (also purchased from SP), as backup rigs, very often.
