Title: Torrent Help Please ----
Post by: 3-Fan on February 23, 2012, 08:36:40 PM
I only used bt.etree to torrent shows before.  Now I'm trying to post a show to ryanadamsarchive.com and am not having much luck.
Here is what I have done:

I created a torrent file in Utorrent.  I selected the source where the folder is at.  I then copied in the url tracker from the website:

Quote
http://ryanadamsarchive.com:9976/announce

I clicked "Start seeding" and "Preserve file order"

Clicked on create and save.

I uploaded the torrent file to the website.  When I click on the torrent and open it, it asked navigate to where the folder is.  I go there, and it then pops up in the utorrent window.  It checks in, queuned seeds, and then goes green and says seeding.  When I click on the "trackers" tab below, DHT, Local Peer Discovery, and Peer Exchange all have the status of not allowed.

I flipped on the laptop and try to start the torrent by downloading the torrent file.  It opens utorrent, loads and says it is downloading, but the status bar stays on 0%.  Others on the site have said the torrent works, because they are connected each other...just no seeder.

Any help folks?  Something in the DHT, Local Peer Discovery and Peer Exchange settings?  I actually have no idea what those are and what they should be set at.

Thnaks!

most private sites do not allow DHT.  turn it off and see if it helps.

Did you use the .torrent file you created or the one provided by RAA? Don't they use a personalized file?
