Title: 3.5 stereo mini RA > 3.5 stereo mini RA

looking for a cable to run from my MP-2 to my JB3.  the cavat is that at least one end has to be JB3 friendly (no switchcraft or other large headed plugs).

i checked one of my local ratshacks and didnt see one, but i would be willing to try another couple if anyone has had luck finding one there.  i have checked several other retailers (target, walmart, best buy) and only find straight ends.

i know soundprofessionals has one, but i wanted something beefier in the cable.  kind kables mentions one, but no picture, so i dont know what ends are on there.

any pointers... would be nice to have before tuesday evening... but will wait if the quality and price is right.  TIA

A bit costly, but www.SonicStudios.com/access.htm (http://www.SonicStudios.com/access.htm) has 3.5mm miniplug-to-miniplug molded right angle patch cord using Belden cord.  Very robust and will NEVER harm the minijacks.

However, SS does NOT take Credit Cards, only COD or prepaid, so COD ship to get patch there in time adds almost 35% more to the total cost.

If you want to go the DYI route, the Neutrik right-angle 3.5mm plugs are on the smaller side and are nice because the base of the plug is tapered, so they don't need to have the entire circumference of the base seated to have a completely locked in fit. Unlike the Switchcraft plugs which have a huge flat base and don't feel totally secure on some devices...

I've used both the Sonic Studios and Cardas cables and both are built very well.  They aren't exactly robust, however, a robust mini>mini cable tends to put more strain on the jacks, which can cause problems down the road.

Another vote for the Neutrik 1/8" plugs.
My experience is that they work well, are solid en look good.

Check the Neutrik site (http://www.neutrik.com/content/products/products_entry.asp?productid=210_459854644&sublevelid=204_1167228197) for specs on diameter restrictions, etc.
