DAP1 internal battery?
« on: January 05, 2005, 11:21:19 AM »
Anywhere to pick up an extra battery and wal-wart? Bought mine used without a batt or charger...been using a 6v Eco-Charge, but would like to have a complete deck.

Any ideas?

I would definitely take it off your hands.

Any idea what type of charger I'd need?

hey nick..  it charges right in the DAp1's internal battery compartment..  there is a little switch by the power cord jack you swith to "charge" when the unit is plugged into a walwart and the internal batt. is in place..  hmm.. you dont have a wall wart so ..  hmm.. i guess you cant charge the battery without one..

I would recommend you not bother getting an internal battery for the 'P1, unless you have some major need for it. I've never managed to get more than 60 minutes out of one...much less if using the phantom power. If you do really want the stock Tascam battery, PM me & we'll work something out.  I always run off my Eco-Charge batteries.

Musicians Friend (among others I've seen) have the battery. As for the AC adaptor/charger, I'm not sure. I think they used to run about the $100-$125 range. Unfortunately, I don't know who's still carrying them.

I have never ever used mine.  as mentioned above they will only give you an hour or so.  the battery compartment makes for a nice place to stash "stuff".
