« on: January 14, 2009, 09:29:40 AM »
I am a member of the TOOL drive project.......having some issues.
I need to create a single Md5 for all 400 or GB of shows on the drive.......on mac.
How do i do this using xACT, since it wont let you just create an Md5 of a directory. . .

assuming your on OSX and not OS9;

from the terminal:

Code: [Select]
md5sum -R
the -R is for recursive. I havn't used md5 in a while in OSX, so I pulled that off of the AT&T unix online manual. There may be discrepencies between the unix flavors, look at the man page for it for other options and corrections.
