Wavelab stereo issue
« on: October 31, 2007, 12:26:29 AM »
I am having a small issue with Wavelab 5.00a. If I perform any editing on a stereo file, both channels are affected equally. If I add 2db of gain, both channels get 2db of gain. But if I select the left channel and add gain (or perfropm any process) all is well.  However, if I select the right channel and perform any process, the left channel is affected only. It must be some setting as I do not have this problem in Soundforge, but I much prefer Wavelab and would like to clear this up. Thanks for any info!

I think this might be a bug in the first versions of 5.  Try to upgrade to 5.01b and see if that helps.

Thanks, I will try that.

Other question; As long as I process my entire file (l/r) simultaneously all of my audio should be intact, correct? I do not want to have to upgrade and then go redo a ton of shows....

Thanks again for your help...

it's a bug in 5 a

It used to happen to me as well.  I'd add gain in one channel and the other would raise and not the one I wanted etc.  all of that is cleared up in 5.01b

should be fine.  as far as I could tell it (the bug) was only when dealing with individual channels.

Thanks a bunch guys :whew:

was worried there for a moment. I imported a few dvd-a tracks that I had burned and analyzed them in DSondforge and the l/r channels appeared to be differenr (i.e not matched to each other, or as they shopudl be.) gonna upgrade and thanks again!
