So now that Demonoid is back (sort of) I’m thinking of working on my music collection again. When I was last on I used a peer blocker, peer guardian. Now it seems VPN is the best way to go. I know very little about them. Doesn’t seem like there are any free ones. Also seems that some limit your usage. Not a good thing when downloading 24 bit stuff. Any recommendations? I see that Norton 360 now comes with VPN. Thanks.

Firstly, avoid Norton products. Ever since they partnered with LifeLock, they lost all credibility.
Second, there are lots of misconceptions about what a VPN does, and there is outright misinformation out there from some of the VPN companies.
Take a read through this page, including the FAQ at the bottom:

Funny you ask. I was thinking last night I should set up a VPN for one of my New Years Resolutions.
I found this guy, who seems to do pretty honest reviews of different VPN providers.

if youre only doing torrents seedbox is about the same price as a VPN and gains you additional speed benefits
private trackers are better than public in all respects as well

defn recco against Norton, mainly because they are selling the Lifelock crap in conjunction with Equifax, who lost everyone's financial data

Hey, I have a VPN, it's Nord, cost me $130 for 3 years. I recco it highly. Works great with torrenting. I note your link shows it rated low, but the research I did showed it best for torrenting and having the most reliable and wide ranging list of servers.
