Thank you sir!

What, no thanks for the people who posted in the original thread?  :P

Chocolate chips cookies, warm fuzzy thoughts, and a big thanks to all the folks who expressed their opinion. I tend to agree with Gordon. I don't notice too much difference in the two sources.(could just be crappy playback gear) One seems to have a little more low end.... Or it just floppiness in the preamp that is perceived as more range?

I didn't see all the stuff you quoted in your other posts, but I did enjoy the scathing sarcasm.

For now I'll stick with the V3. ALthough the thought of having one box is enticing.

and to back straker here, while yeah a bunch of people did post comments on source A v. source B, I don't think which source was which was revealed was it?  so all those comments in the comp thread do not answer his question.  they answer the question of the relative sounds of source A v. source B and the relative strengths of people's ability to identify gear.  i find those comp thread discussions to be of relatively little value.  I know who's opinion to trust when discussing the sound of gear, I don't believe I need to control group testing for discussion of the gear.

Well, at least one other person enjoyed it.  ;D  And I'm with you - I'll stick with the V3 for now.
