Looking for hi end pre amp with high and low end frequency adjusters. Any suggestions?

What you're asking for is a contradiction in terms; high-end preamps specifically don't have those things (except for low-cut filters sometimes). There's no inherent technical reason for that, but the product marketing categories just don't work that way.

You could look for something such as the JoeMeek VC3Q or other "outboard channel strip"-type things. Those are designed to offer the controls that an input channel on a mixer might have. I don't know how much "high end" gear you'll find in that category, but some of it ain't crap.

Millennia TD-1.  Sort of portable in the way the first Compaq computers were.  Does have Millennia EQ as well as other bells and whistles.  The lights are pretty festive as well.  Very nice kit.
