Looking for opinions for replacing a Nomad JB3
« on: November 26, 2009, 09:30:58 AM »
Hi all!

i've been running a oade mode Edirol UA5 optical in to a Nomad JB3 for 6-7 years now.
i've been very happy with this setup but it seems that the optical input jack on the JB3 is starting to crap out on me.

I'm wondering what peoples opinions are for good replacements for that unit.
One disappointing thing seems to be that most units in the same price range ($300-$500) do not have any digital inputs.

The Edirol R4 seems like a promising unit, does anyone know if that produces 4 track wav files where i could edit all four tracks after the fact?

I mainly run matrixes, so it would be great to be able to edit the SBD feed and my mics seperately, and even fix phase issues if the mic placements at the venue are far back and you do get the slight delay between the sbd feed and the mic feed.

Thanks!
