Schoeps Cap Dunked in Water - Help

Just what it says, cap fell in some water. Just tried it on the active cable, nothing. Is this dead? Or just wait to dry out/silica packets? Help!

Just dry it out and hope for the best.  Once dry try again.

Very gentle heat - like from a lightbulb - will help it dry. Don't put power to it again until it's had plenty of time to dry. Like a week.

Just going to place it in some silica packets and try again in a week. I’ll report my findings.

Absolutely gutted.

the rice in a bag trick does work at times. I have recovered a phone and a thermometer that way.
