i have a pair of Denecke PS-1s that i could loan you if you wanted to test out the Phantom vs. internal battery question.  same exact setup as PS-2, but one channel each.  i used these to power my Neumann KM-184s for a year or more.  lemme know and i'll mail 'em out to ya.

Thanks hippies, i am going to check out making the battery first since it seems like the most economical solution. But if i run into problems i might hit you up on that offer.
