New TASCAM Hi-Res Editor available (FREE)

https://www.soundonsound.com/news/tascams-hi-res-editor-gains-apple-silicon-support

I just downloaded the newest version of the venerable TASCAM Hi-Res Editor and gave it a spin on my MAC Silicone machine. Very easy to split/combine files (either end to end or dual mono>stereo or stereo>dual mono).

Some here may find this, and other features (SRC and WAV>DSD or DSD>WAV) useful.

Cool...I always wanted to split my DSD-files into separate tracks...will test this.

Nice find.  Looks similar to the track spitting / combining features of Sound Devices Wave Agent, except its able to handle DSD and 32bit floating point WAVs (Nice!), while being limited to two channel files rather than accommodating multichannel polywaves and lacks WA's metadata editing features.

Will have to give this a go on my Windows 10 machine.

Thanks for posting that website.  I noticed that there was a firmware update to my recorder that I didn't know about.
