Title: powering a DA-P1
Post by: radioboy1977 on October 17, 2003, 05:54:21 PM
hey all,
i'm trying to help alex out by loaning him my old DA-P1.  the problem is that i can't find the wall charger for the ecocharge battery that goes with it.  this wouldn't be a problem except that the ecocharge has the old small, circular external interlocking mechanism as opposed to the regular internal 4 pin locking mechanism.  can anybody suggest a quick and inexpensive way of making an external power supply or direct me to a store where i can buy a 6V SLA charger?  i don't really have time to use the internet as he needs the deck by tuesday.  any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)

Your least expensive option is probably to just buy one of the cheap $20 wall units available at the electronic/battery stores that will charge the 6v SLA battery, then buy two 4 pin XLR connectors and solder those on. Then when you find the wall unit, buy another 4 pin XLR and solder that onto the wall wart. Worst case, you end up with an extra wall unit that can provide you recharge capabilities should you need it.

T+ for the suggestions. I think we'll be okay with Daryan's for now!
