Title: Anyone own a R-09 and R-09HR?

i just got a used r-09hr and recorded a show with the internals. the r-09 rec volume control went from 0-30. the r-09hr goes from 0-80. i usually record at this venue with the r-09 set to 25. i set the r-09hr to 60 and the recording is beyond blown out. should i set the r-09hr to 25? does the r-09hr have more gain? it was a stealth job, so i could not see the meters.  thank you
