Hi,
I've got a strange problem with a Core-Sound HEB system and before I send it back to Len, I'd like to try a substitution to try and narrow down the fault. If there's anyone in London with a system, could you drop me a PM?
Thanks,
John

Whats the issue, those battery boxes are notorius for having issues, but its usually a easy fix, they have the components so crammed in there that its very common for a solder point to come loose. It can be tricky to spot. Just a thought for you.

I have an old coresound HEB battery box that works perfectly (serviced in 2009) that I will sell you for cheap if you're interested. I still have the mics, but had them reterminated to avoid needing the box... PM if interested.

It wasn't the battery box, sadly. One of the 4060s has an odd fault - it starts up fine and then the signal slowly fades away over ten or fifteen seconds, until it's totally gone. I built a simple battery box at home following a test with Andrew's system - very nice chap, by the way, and the man to go to if you want to buy a Leica camera in London -and it's obviously the mic, not the box, which is a pity. Anyone got a spare 4060 they want to sell?
Thanks for the information and offers and especially to SClassical for putting me in touch with Andrew.
Regards,
John
