Topic: CowanA2 output phase mystery

Recently I plugged my Cowan A2 into my sound card, and
looked at the audio outputs of the A2 with a phase meter.
The A2 has 2 audio output options.
1. a headphone jack, L/R output and
2. a composite video jack, vid/L/R output for attaching to stereo TV.
Monitoring the headphone out through the phase meter, everything appeared normal.
However when I plugged into the video output L/R and monitored the audio out it was 90 degrees out of phase.
I switched the A2 internal system settings to mono, only to see further confirmation..see image

Why is the audio from the composite vid output, out of phase??
Is this normal? Could it be a Buggy Vid output chip?
Too heavy for my brain.

So contacted Cowan and was advised..
"Since the player wasn't really designed to be examined like this.  As long as it works as designed I wouldn't worry about this.  Would just use the connection that works best for you."

Well..ok, but I asked why the output was out of phase.
Anyone here have an A2 they could test to confirm my results?
BTW, I love the A2, Great sound, picture, Incredible battery life..
I respect the know how here at TS and figured if anyone would know you guys would.

Here is the latest,
The phase reversal has been confirmed by other A2 owners.
And Cowan is not addressing their inquiries on the issue.
I bet this is news to them!
