What are some current Micro SD cards that people have good experience using with an A10? I'm heading to a festival soon, and need to stock up on storage.

Has anyone worked out what causes the short out/no sound in one channel issue when using external mics and a battery pack?

Got some shows coming up and having experienced this last time I don’t want to leave it to chance.

Is that an A10 known issue, or one you are experiencing. I was unaware of that as a universal A10 issue. I have never has that issue using my A10,and it sounds much more like an issue somewhere in your chain. Any idea if it is related to any of your body movements while recording? That would further add to the idea of it being a cable or dying battery in the BB.

Of course if it is a known issue, disregard everything I have said...  :spin:

That's news to me, too. The only time I've had one channel cut out is when the mic plug comes partly disconnected from the battery box, which is not an A10 issue.

I've never had this problem with my A10 either!  I usually run DPA MMA 6000 > A10.

It has been mentioned, but I think it was associated with using a 12V batterybox?

Quick question: Have any other PCM-A10 owners experienced the recorder's Right channel failing?  A friend and I were early adopters of the A10 - I assume we both got the first batch delivered from Japan.  About 4 months ago, my Right channel (Input jack only) began to fail.  First, the right channel gain was slightly lower than the Left, a few days later, much lower, and eventually completely dead.  Both channels worked fine through the internal mics - the problem is limited to the input jack.

Now, my friend is having the same issue.

Just wondering if this is a common with the A10?  Anyone else have this happen?

I’ll check what the voltage is for mine…it was a CA 9 volt….

What voltage for a battery box is ok to use on these?

the flaw is (likely) in the battery box, not an incompatibility between the battery box and the a10.  I'd investigate the input and output jacks for bad solder joints

A 9v box is fine. There was one person who had problems with A10s while using a 12v box, I don't recall what model.
