Stumbled onto a pretty cool page about a roll your own MixPre battery pack the other day:

I dig the idea that using the rear power connectors leaves the On/Off switch more accessible -- my fingers are so fat that it's really hard for me to operate the switch when a UCB-C connector is plugged in.

Neat. Yet another reason to get into 3D printing. The author mentions a potential issue with swelling but I wonder if heat could be a concern as well?
