I use it with the field recorder app on Android it $5 and works great!

I've been using mine with Apogee Metarecorder on an old iPhone 6S and getting excellent results

I just found this app.  Neutron Audio Recorder for Samsung that has a functional & legible level meter.  Going to give it a good test this weekend.
