Audio-Technica AT822 Stereo microphone & Zoom F3 recorder
« on: April 29, 2022, 09:27:25 AM »
Hello,
I recently purchased the Audio-Technica AT822 Stereo microphone.
And I want to connect this microphone to Zoom F3 recorder.

This microphone provides a 3-pin XLRF to unbalanced 3.5 mm stereo mini plug and a 3-pin XLRF to two unbalanced 1/4" phone plug.
I wonder what cable or adapter I need to connect this microphone to Zoom F3 recorder.

Your input would be appreciated.  :)

This should do the trick.

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/859618-REG/Cable_Techniques_CT_PYF_18_1_SET_of_CT_PXR_18_CABLE_5_1.html

This into the mic, then connect 2 standard XLR cables to your recorder.

Isn't the AT822 3-pin XLR at the mic?  So the Cable Techniques cable won't work since it's 5-pin.

https://soundprofessionals.com/product/SP-XLRF3-XLRM3-2/

The soundpro cable should work.  Just make sure to pick "wired for stereo microphones" under wiring options.

Yes the mic's output is unbalanced so it's 3 pin.

OP, you can go the Sound Pros route (with whom I've had nothing but good experiences) or you can buy a regular XLR cable of your choice and get a breakout cable like this:

Nevermind, I think the cable I linked is dual mono. Sound Pros is the way to go.
