What seethreepo is asking about is a right angle adapter to which a existing XLR cable can be attached, female on one side, male on the other.
I have a couple of the TRS equivalent, bought at Radio Shack years ago, which I used into channels 5&6 of the DR-680 since those inputs were TRS only. Worked great.
Likely to have better luck using a short interconnect with a male right angle XLR on one end and a straight female XLR on the other. Cable will bend in any direction, reduce stress on the chassis input jack, and the assembled chain can be much more compact.
