I really appreciate all the info and schematics here. I pretty much followed what Nick did in the first post and very roughly put one together just in time for Jacob Collier tonight, and together with the Sound Professionals attenuator and USB-C adapter, it makes for a decent ultra low profile phone rig. I know that's probably not everyone's use case, but I've found it handy for venues that are a hassle to even get a little Roland into, and this does it. I bought enough to make two and will make another, more neatly constructed one when I'm not pressed for time.

Sorry I've been absent for a while, I swear I had notifications turned on for the site but I guess not.  Glad to see that others have had good luck with the guide and have made improvements!

I've put about half a dozen shows under my belt since building the battery boxes and mics and have been incredibly pleased with how they all sound.  It's been really fun getting the settings dialed down, as well as learning the ins and outs of  recording.  I've learned a lot about navigating all different types of entrance procedures

These were recorded using the DIY fob, the binaurals also described upthread, and a Roland R-07. Normalized, HPF (80Hz/6db), and track cutting via Audacity.
