Title: Need Amp w/Mic INPUTS ???
Post by: willndmb on August 17, 2012, 07:32:37 PM
Hi guys hope this is the right place for this

I am looking for a new amp that has 2 mic inputs (pref xlr but 1/4 is ok too)
along with RCA Input(s) or some other way to connect a cd player/ipod
would love for it to have selectable speaker switches where i can have speakers on the left side on, right side on, or both - not faders, actual switches/buttons

if anyone can point me in the right direction that would be huge, mine at work just died and its 17 yrs old so i have been out of the loop on these things for a long time
tia

Forget stereo equipment. It sounds like you just want a small PA. :)
Try your local Guitar Center, or maybe give the folks at www.sweetwater.com a call and see what they can recommend for your needs, budget etc.

ohhhh
and that might save me lots of cash too because i have a stereo amp we use for/with our projector/dvd/surround set up
i could run the mic into the mixer
mixer into the amp
amp into the speakers
why didn't i think of this  :P

that would cover everything except the dual a/b speaker issue but thats the least of concerns right now
