Title: Adobe Audition 3.01 - Mono to Stereo
Post by: swordfish on July 28, 2014, 12:29:18 PM
Hi Guys,

haven't been to the site for a while.....had to much going on...I taped a show lately and had problems with my back up mic..SP-CMC-25...own it for a while and wanted to test it...the recording cam out distorted(I am sure there is "ground" problem...but had no time to look into it....

Nevertehless the right channels recording sound not to bad....So I decided to create a mono recording  and copy the right to the left channel...when I only play back one right or left channnel everything sounds fine when I play both channels at the same time it sounds like the drivers of the soundcard are missing...like being underwater...dunno what I did wrong...

So I am seeking for help,

Cheers SF

From the original file

Select the entire right channel and copy (with only the right channel highlighted).

Highlight/Select the entire left channel.  Right click > Mix Paste > replace

For safety make sure the cursor is at 0 when doing each of these.

You probably pasted the good channel overlapping the old one (which mixes them).  I think for some unknown reason the program defaults to overlap pasting rather than replace pasting.

It did copy and paste as hundred times before...checked all my players on the PC and found out on the Nero 8 player can play the file...seems like corrupted drivers of the sound card ....had that before...wonder only why I can play all the other files with the Audition player and the VLC player....

That seems very unusual, though your issue is apparently not an Adobe editing one then (through maybe a program issue where you need to reinstall, though I gather the uninstall/reinstall process is not that smooth).

Are you in Multi-track or Waveform mode while in Adobe?  There is a difference. Go to Waveform
