I want to buy an ART Dual USB Pre to power a second pair of condenser mics for my Tascam DR-60. The ART USB Pre has separate Left and Right 1/4 inch balanced (TRS) outputs. The Tascam DR-60 has a single 3.5mm TRS input for channels 3 and 4. I know that I need a dual 1/4 male to single 3.5mm TRS male adapter. My QUESTION is: Do the dual 1/4 inch plugs need to both be TRS, or can they be TS with only the single 3.5mm being TRS? Thanks

I have one I have never used. Now that I have gone active, I no longer need it.
PM me for details

Thanks StarkRavingCalm. I sent PM.

while I've never used this particular ART unit, I have used similar to provide phantom power, and I believe you only need a dual 1/4" TS > rca adapter cable to get the job done.

Thanks, but I am taking into a single 3.5mm input that handles both channels 3 and 4. I assume maybe I only need dual 1/4 inch TS to single 3.5mm TRS to get job done. Anyone with experience please let me know. Gracias

^ yeah, sorry, I meant 1/8" (3.5), not rca. should work.\ for you. I use one of these: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/160639-REG/Hosa_Technology_CMP_153_Stereo_Mini_Male_to.html/prm/alsVwDtl

I use an unbalanced 1/4 TS to 1/8th inch TRS to feed the channels 3/4 on my DR60. Almost any output on prosumer gear that is 1/4 inch will be able to use TRS or TS.
