I was hoping to get some feedback on my present dilemma. ???
Very soon I will be recording a couple bands within the first 5 rows close to stage(c). The place is the New Forum in L.A. and the bands are similar to Boston and REO Speedwagon.
I just don't which cap would my best choice: 1. Card, 2. Sub-Card, 3. OMNI
Basic rig is:AT853(3-wire) > Tinybox > Sony PCM-M10, Hat Mounted
Any advice is appreciated, especially about why you made that choice.

Stand or body mount?
If on a stand the Sub-Card and Cards in that order...body mount Omni will lessen the effect of movement on the stereo image...but that's just how I'd roll.
;D

^ what he said. If you can put up on a stand and orient them well then use cards/subs. If you're going to be mounting on your body, omnis are way more forgiving in pretty much every way and will do fine taped under a thin shirt

Hat mounted it says.

^ whoops... I'd say omnis probably because they will be more forgiving of you moving your head (nobody wants to stand perfectly still and not turn their head)
