I am going this year and would like to tape but it looks like a stealth job as there is no audio taping allowed. anyone here have any experiance? Tips?

i know lots of people stealthed it last year. i dont' think they had any problems. once you get in the concert area i think you can pretty much walk around freely to the different stages and not worry about security much. at least i think that is the case.

Form stealthed with SP-CMC-2's > BB > Jb3.
There are DPA4060's and Schoeps tapes all from different acts at Coachella.
Only rumor I've heard is that it's HOT AS BALLS. But good luck.

are you going to tape New Order? that would be awsome! also. for security and such. My sister went and no she did not tape but she saw alot of people stealthing and security is not that tight. so enjoy the show as I wish I could go to that awsome event!

I lived in the Coachella Valley many years ago.
I can't tell you about getting equipment in, but I can advise you as to the climate.
Hopefully, you'll luck out and it will be a beautiful Spring day, but you need to be prepared for extreme heat as well. Like Thierryhenry said, "it can be hot as" . . . . Be aware, you'll be in the middle of the desert. 8)

The Kills always put on a great show...guy/girl druggy blooze duo. Plus, the girl (She goes by the name "VV") is hot as hell. If you can, hit them!

I am going from Detroit to chicago on a train friday night to see erasure and then flying from Chicago the next day to Coachella for the two day events!!!!!! ;D ;D 8) what a great way to start off the cool weather in MI by goin on an adventure!!!! I am going to tape as many acts as I can with all the tapes Aaron gave me! 8)

I am all over New Order and NIN. I want to know really. is there any like pat down or security gates you have to go through? I want to bring a shitload of DATs. my sister could not remember. (maybe cuz she was smokin trees ;D )

They didn't pat me down, but they rummaged my bag pretty thoroughly. Found my Nomad. Conversation between me & security was something like this:

someone mentioned cocteau twins were playing... havnt seen that yet... that would rule over all, but i think Bauhaus, Chem bros and gram rabbit will be all mine. i wanna talk the rabbit into getting me in to Matrix them with my mixer and laptop.
