Any one try 12v SLA->Nomad brand car adapter->JB# and see if it has any negative effect on the unit?

thanks guys!

good news from mike grace too, about a month from now is when he'll be rolling out the optical out V3 as a new option or an upgrade.  he's already got tested units but is waiting on a full shipment of the optical out boards before announcing it.

it was on the street in NYC.  The show  was at Joe's Pub and when Glen and NC fininshed their second set they had run out of time and the venue wouldn't allow an encore, so they had everyone meet them out on the street for an all acoustic encore; literally the coolest thing that I've seen at a concert. Show is up for download at:

Sure hope he's tested these "tested units" with a JB3.  Would SUCK BIG TIME if everyone sent thier V3's in, then found out the optical out on it exhibits the same issues as the C02, "grey box" and some other optical converters.

Did they say whether they were replacing the wordclock jack, or just putting a new hole in the case?  Whaddabout the FIREWIRE upgrade they've been talking about?  Decisions decisions.  Would you rather have the OPTICAL or be able to get 96/24 into your laptop?

And now, DAMN - I have to decide whether to buy a hosa ODL312 NOW, or just wait for the upgrade (since my next show is Bela on 4/4).  Oh well, what's $50 for another little gadget to add to the junk pile...

<sigh>
