Female 1/8 to split male XLR, left and right, does it exist?

(1/2) > >>

DCDireWolf:
I have access to a pair of mics that run out of a single stereo 1/8 inch male connector.

I want to run those mics into my XLR L and R mic  inputs on my UA-5.

What's the best way to do it, sound wise?

I have a barrell on a y-splitter that ends in L and R female 1/8 inch, then I could buy a couple 1/8 inch male to XLR male cables and do it that way.  I'm just wondering if there's a better way?

Thanks!

which mics??

DCDireWolf:
Unfortunately, I don't know what kind of mics because my buddy who's loaning them doesn't even know and I haven't seen them yet.  I only know that they're cards of some sort.   :(

They're just for learning until I can buy my own.

If the mics are wired to an 1/8", then they won't need pantom power. You could run them right into the rca in on the back of the ua-5. Much less cable/adapter needed.
