4 Mic Mix
« on: November 23, 2004, 02:29:33 AM »
What four mic options are there?  It would be two SMK-H8Ks (either cardioid or hyper) and two dynamic cardioids (ECO-88S) through a mixpad.

I almost did this last weekend...ended up just switching mics between sets...now I at least know what each set of mics sounds like...

if you have an additional pre you could use one set of mics > xlr ins on a ua5, one set of mics > pre > rca ins

Yup, it's a mixpad.  I got these dynamics with my 'Lux set and originally planned on selling them to recoup a few bucks.  I figured I ought to at least look around here to see if it's worthwhile to keep 'em.  I'm rather new at taping and haven't done much research into mic configurations.  I saw the two mic pics and those were quite helpful.  I couldn't find much on four mic configs that didn't include having boundary mics.
