Topic: Need opinions: Mod my 460s or get new ck63s...

what do you guys think? i have some stock akg 460s and probably will have a bout $400 to toss around coming up here in a short while. do you think i should ship them off to JW to get the mod done and keep running the 61s for now or should i grab some nice sparkley new ck63 caps and get the mod a bit further down the road? i know which way i'm sort of leaning but figured i'd get some more input.

sell the 300's because there is a big market for them right now on here(check the ebay section)  sell your 831's to me cuz i need some basic stealth mics  , and get both the mod and the 93 caps! everyone's happy

ha yea, the 391s will go, but not til after i get the mod done if i go that route. i want back-ups as for the at831s i'll be hanging onto them for the reason you want them hard to stealth with 460s

well from what I have heard the mod vs stock 460's are a no contest.  Since you plan to ditch the 391's anyhow, why put off the mod any longer, i'd get the mod now and when they get back and you are happy with them sell the 391's/   I will probably go the same route as you when I find myself a decent pair of 460's
