Topic: questions about interchangeable AT mic caps

i purchased a set of AT853 cardioid caps from alpha sound and lighting.  my question is which SP-CMC-XX mics have the same body so i can screw these on with? or any other configurations/company for that matter.  these will be used for stealthing with a battery box.

well all sp mics come with caps already on them, usually cards, so it seems as though you don't need the caps you bought.

i'm aware of this, however it appears that over half their damn inventory is depleted.  i was just wondering if there is a cheaper set of mics i can buy and just screw on my at853's.  or when they get their inventory back up which mics are able to be swapped out with different elements.  either way i have to buy a set and i had made my decision on the cmc-4, but no dice they out.

I believe the CMC-2 and 4s are the ones that your caps will work with. That said, you can buy an adapter for any of the higher numbered CMCs to where you'd go mic "bodies" > adapter > 853 caps.
